2015 season "Getting into Minimoto" part 1

We started out early on a couple of Oset electric trials bikes, we rode these for a few years in the back yard and had a lot of fun, then in early spring we had to temporarily move from our house in the country side due to water damage, so we had to move into an apartment in Enköping while our house would be renovated - at this point we realized that we could no longer just go out and ride our bikes around, so we searched for another way to keep riding.....

We knew a bit about Mini moto racing as our good friend Baz in the UK was racing for many years and was British champion, so we made a few internet searches and found out that there are a few active clubs dotted around Sweden, and lucky for us a very good one just 20 mins drive down the road in Västerås - The club is called SMK Västerås Karting

So we took a drive down to the Hälla Ring one night to see what was going on .....

It was alive to the sound of mini 2 strokes screaming around the track, and there were cars, trucks and motor-homes parked up with bikes and tools spilling out from them......      we were home !

We were very kindly offered to try out the sport, Thomas Högback along with the rest of the club members lent us the use of a mini moto,  fixed us with leathers a crash helmet and gloves and let us try a few laps of the circuit.

Lewis tried first....
