May 7-8th 2016 - weekend racing at Västerås

The temperature was +26, sunny and we were all in shorts and T shirts when we headed to the track on Friday Night. We had borrowed Morfar Kent´s Karmann camper for the weekend, dad filled it with food, drink and a few sleeping bags - Hired a trailer from our local garage and filled that with the bikes and tools - and we were off for a whole weekend at the club track.

 At the end of the practice day the club pulled out the karts and everyone had a good laugh racing around for the afternoon

 On Saturday night we slept much better - Thanks to suz who brought down a ton of blankets and duvets and a few beers.

Sunday Kicked off with the sound of a two stroke starting up, and the van was hot with the morning sun, The boys woke and pulled on their leathers. We had a briefing at 8.50 and the next minute we were frantically starting the bikes and getting out on tho the track - Junior A had times at 9am and 10am and a two 4 lap races at 11.00.

The racing went on - Junior B, senior, geared bikes, It was a packed and fun sunday of racing followed by Moto Gp in the club house

 So the weekend was over - our Exhausted but proud Pappa packed the camper and trailer and headed back to the garage - we went home with mamma for a good bath and to start looking for a place to keep the trophies.......
