So our first ever real race had arrived!
Dad skipped his end of summer work party on Friday and instead packed up all the bikes, tools, gear, food, drinks and set off for the track, the plan was that we would borrow morfar Kents camper for us to sleep in for the weekend, Mum would help by bringing us two following morfar and his VW camper - then we would have a race/workshop bus and a mini motorhome for sleeping etc, and mum would take morfar beack home - all went to plan until Mum and dad arrived, met each other and soon realized that no one had brought us too? yes communication breakdown! they forgot us While that was going on we were left with mormor wondering what time we would be heading to the track, Anyway all was sorted out about an hour later as mum shot back and collected us - while dad set up the camp.
Cool Depå camping - 2 x vw bus - our syncro double cab and morfars karmann gypsie
That weekend we brought a new generator for our newbie team from the Lundin´s who also happened to be scrutineer on friday night - our bikes got the check through and thumbs up
we woke up to this perfection!
From bed to leathers to breakfast
The whole place was buzzing, lots of teams and riders
We had practice and Qualifying on Saturday
us messing around on Saturday Night

Mum helped out with some Marshaling on Sunday - Race day !

Race day - Rooker´s no.7 and no.49
Both races were really exciting with great battles at the front between Travis and William Tägtlund, both really entertaining the crowd, eventually Travis taking the lead from around lap 4 and taking it home in both races - what a result for the first ever races ! Lewis came home last, but got a special trophy for being the youngest racer - we went home very happy
Next time we race in Kalmar !
